Summary

The Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the objectives of projects are set in alignment with the therapeutic and diagnostic team needs, are implemented appropriately, and are accomplished within the defined timeframe and budget. The CDx Project Manager will partner with CDx Leads & Diagnostic (Dx) Scientists to co-facilitate interactions between external Diagnostic partners and internal Daiichi Sankyo stakeholders.
 

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute CDx project work plans, modifying them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of each program.
  • Track program scope, costs, expenses, and budgets against defined metrics in alignment with CDx Lead and key functional stakeholders. Communicate and monitor budgets in partnership with the Finance Lead for each program.
  • Provide complete tracking of all program phases and activities, including communicating timelines, milestones and goals to the project team, department leadership, and senior management.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and available in a centralized location.
  • Participate in the preparation of slide decks for DS governance approval, align all internal & external program communications, and be involved in decision-making processes in partnership with the CDx Lead and Dx Scientist for each program.
  • Communicate CDx program issues, create and track associated mitigation strategies to minimize risk, and align with the CDx Lead to escalate issues to the proper stakeholders when necessary.
  • Organize and facilitate global CDx team meetings and interactions with each Diagnostic partner (e.g. Joint Project Teams). Additionally, build and maintain strong partnerships and rapport with external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

  • Bachelor's Degree in biological sciences or a related discipline required
  • Master's Degree in biological sciences or a related discipline preferred
  • PhD in biological sciences or a related discipline preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience managing complex development projects required
  • 4 or more years of work experience in pharmaceutical/diagnostics setting required
  • Experience in Companion Diagnostics preferred
  • Completion of Project Management Training preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success working on a multidisciplinary pharma/diagnostic development team. preferred
  • Knowledge of design control, market and product requirements management, and the IVD development process preferred
  • Knowledge of molecular diagnostics technology, competitors, and market space preferred
  • Established expertise and hands-on experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and remote meeting tools such as MS Teams, WebEx, Live Meeting preferred
  • Expert planning and tracking skills, with the ability to capture details and summarize in an integrated cross-functional plan
  • Well- organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment globally with stakeholders from multiple functional areas
  • Solid interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills

Travel

Ability to travel up to 10% Domestic and international travel may be required
