Summary

The Associate Director, Digital Platforms is a senior position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for evolving our digital platforms, application architecture, solution architecture, systems support, system availability, configuration, system upgrades and patching, customization and enhancements for multiple product websites, and portal solutions. This position will provide oversight on software development, implementation, and maintenance for websites and portals across various business units. This position will manage a team of designers, developers, and collaborate with brand agencies and content creators to ensure that our websites and portals meet user needs and achieve DS business objectives. The Associate Director is also responsible for vendor relationships, contracts, and budgetary matters.

Responsibilities

- Develop, plan, implement and support overall strategy around digital platforms (Liferay SiteCore, Web Analytics and Google Data Studio) for Intranet, branded and unbranded websites, and external portals ensuring optimal performance and user experience to address complex business issues.
- Collaborate with Regional US Global Marketing, OBU, Corporate Communications and External Agencies along with software development vendors to build business centric technology roadmap and execute digital strategies.
- Manage and mentor a team of interns, on-site and offshore consultants, providing guidance, technical feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment that embraces multicultural perspectives. Foster strong relationships with external vendors and agencies for contracts, and budgetary matters.
- Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement, scalability, as well as ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and security standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in digital platforms, web analytics, and related technologies, and provide recommendations for innovation and process optimization.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Life Science, Engineering, Business Administration and/or a related discipline required

Experience Qualifications

- 10 or More Years 10+ years’ Pharmaceuticals Experience required, in IT, for web development and operations, supporting Digital Marketing Platforms (Liferay, SiteCore, SEO, Web Analytics, Google Data Studio) required
- 10 or More Years 10+ years of a proven track record of defining strategies and embracing new digital technologies preferred
- 10 or More Years 10+ years of experience collaborating with US Regional and Global teams, agencies, and IT software vendors to build websites/portals and execute digital platform strategies preferred
- 4 or More Years 5+ years managing vendor relationship, contracting/RFP/budget, development teams and providing mentorship in a regional and global environment preferred

Travel

Ability to travel up to 5% within the UK, EU, UK and Japan
