This position is responsible for assisting with the ongoing development, implementation, and monitoring of Daiichi Sankyo Inc. (DSI) I&D efforts across the enterprise. Reporting into the Head of Inclusion & Diversity (I&D), this role will manage strategic I&D projects, with a key focus on employee engagement, programs, and communications. This role will work cross-functionally with several internal and external partners, including Talent Acquisition, Business and Employee Resource Groups (BERGs), Internal Communications, HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, and Talent Management to enhance our internal I&D capabilities, manage ongoing and one-time cross-functional projects, and communicate our I&D progress to key stakeholders. This individual will also work with our global I&D counterparts in Europe and Japan to influence and support global I&D efforts across the entire Daiichi Sankyo organization.


- Overall Strategic Operational Support

- Support the Head of Inclusion Diversity in executing the ID Strategy and help meet annual KPIs
- Plan and launch ID initiatives, with responsibility for stakeholder alignment, program development, content creation, and internal communication planning
- Contribute to the development of policies and programs designed to attract, retain, and develop a diverse workforce and foster a sense of belonging for all employees
- Operationalize annual strategies/objectives and plans aligned with the ID strategy
- Coordinate all Inclusion Diversity Committee activities, including monthly meeting agendas and evolving areas of focus
- Support the Business and Employee Resource Groups (BERGs) efforts and be a strategic partner with the steering committees for each BERG to drive forward the charter, mission and imperatives set by the committee and it’s members
- Partner with Director, Inclusion Diversity to develop and implement strategy and tactics by division/function utilizing a ID scorecard
- Coordinate Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity activities through administration, reporting and compliance
- Maintain a high level of expertise around best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion; stay abreast of trends and current research
- Talent Workforce Strategies

- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure inclusive sourcing and recruiting strategies and to assist in launching programs focused on underrepresented groups that support the development of diverse talent pipelines
- Support and promote ID processes across employee life cycle (TA, Learning Development, Talent Management, and Total Wellbeing)
- Communications

- Implement internal and external ID communications strategy in partnership with Internal Communication and Talent teams, including programs/events, cultural recognition calendar, social media campaigns, and blog posts
- Develop and help implement a strategy to improve the internal visibility of the ID efforts and programs
- Develop and socialize ID learning resources and toolkits

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications

- 7 or More Years of experience working in designing, developing and managing the execution of measurable and scalable business/HR programs and initiatives required
- 4 or More Years of experience in a Diversity and Inclusion role (or related field) required
- 4 or More Years of strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to align I&D objectives with overall business strategies of the organization required
- translating metrics, research and trends into strategy and discernable strategic initiatives and measurable actions required
- ability to relate to and work with all levels and functions of an organization; ability to influence stakeholders towards ownership and action across I&D efforts required
- demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize complex workload in an organized manner required
- expert knowledge of best practices regarding Inclusion and Diversity initiatives in the market preferred
- Strong Affirmative Action Programs knowledge as well as State and Federal Regulatory requirements preferred


Ability to travel up to 10% Possible overnight travel; Conferences and/or business meetings as required
