Job Description

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Clinical Science Intern.  This intern will join the Clinical Science team within R&D specifically in the Oncology therapeutic area.  The overall objective of this internship is to gain exposure to the drug development process in the pharmaceutical industry.  The intern will be working closely with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Biostatistics and Data Management, and other cross functional team members as an integral member of the clinical study team.  The candidate will gain hands-on experience with review and reconciliation of trial data, developing clinical trial material, literature searches and reviews, and presentation of findings. 


  • Support clinical science activities related to study design, protocol development, study execution, reporting and interpretation of data
  • Track and update project status information using spreadsheets and other systems
  • Assist with the development of documents and standard forms
  • Assist clinical development team with clinical trial data review
  • Review of medical literature
  • Interact with other functional areas to complete assigned tasks
  • Complete end of internship research presentation

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Qualified candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program with a concentration in clinical research, pharmacy, medicine, healthcare or related field. Prior experience in a corporate business environment is preferred; experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Skilled proficiency with Microsoft office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to deliver results within established timelines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
