Summary

This Data Governance Communications Manager will be a critical part of the Center for Data Governance (CFDG) execution of the change management efforts across the global Daiichi Sankyo Group. This role is charged with effectively communicating the CFDG operating framework, goals and practices as well as expressing Data Governance value from an organization, domain, function and role perspective. This person will report to the Associate Director, Training and Communication of the Center for Data Governance and work collaboratively with the broader team to support their efforts in other areas such as Data Stewardship.

Responsibilities
- Preparing, facilitation and delivery of Data Governance communications across multiple channels, supporting all data governance related training materials.
- Agent of change ensuring adherence and understanding of Data Governance standards, policies and processes that enable positive business outcomes.
- Support the creation and us of policies, processes, data standards, data quality and enabling IT and digital technologies needed to establish and maintain the data governance and stewardship communities across Daiichi Sankyo.
- Remaining aware of and champion emerging data management skills and capabilities, including data quality, master data management, metadata management, data change management and data sourcing.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university required
- Master's Degree and CDMP preferred

Experience Qualifications
Required
- 4 + years professional expertise in influential communications and training skills (written, visual, verbal) to express complex points to a variety of stakeholders and drive change.
- 4 + years of previous experience with a data governance program, data stewardship program or similar intent data management program focused on setting standards, policies and guidelines for active governance of organizational data ideally around the R&D Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry. Some aspect of data-focused capabilities such as Data Quality, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Data Retention & Archival, Data Access Control & Data Security software.
- Must have familiarity with concepts of organizational change management including training, communications and stakeholder management.

Preferred

- 4+ years of experience in life sciences, pharma or informatics industry working with clinical trials, genomics / biomarkers, discovery, commercial, real world data.
- Proven understanding of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional disciplines, as outlined in Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK2). Certification preferred.

- Experience with some hands-on data analytic skills through excellent Excel, SQL or data preparation tools like Alteryx.

Travel

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestic & international
