Summary

The Director formulates, leads and executes the access strategy and value communication strategy of a DSI's in-line product portfolio and ensures alignment across all internal stakeholders (Medical, HEOR, Pricing and Contracting, Marketing, and US field Market Access). This includes setting access goals, developing the customer engagement strategy, and development and implementation of tactics in the US to ensure broad market access and reimbursement. This individual is responsible for pre-approval information exchange strategy and execution and the creation of a value proposition and all marketing materials to support access with relevant stakeholders (payers, systems, pathways, GPOs, community oncology, any population health decision maker, to include Hub and Hub websites). The Director will also lead strategy for pathway submissions in collaboration with Medical Affairs and Medical Information and create evidence generation plans (as the co-lead of Core Value Team) designed to meet the requirements of payers and key accounts in the US. Launch support for pipeline assets will be transitioned at about 1 year to 6 months pre-launch.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and oversees execution of all value communications initiatives for in-line product portfolio including US market access business plans
  • Partners with brand and other Market Access teams to secure annual budgets and ensure tactical plans support the Market Access product strategies
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of pre-approval information exchange and profiling in preparation for launch
  • Interacts closely with Brand core and commercial team to develop and ensures that all market access strategies and tactics align with the Brands’ goals and objectives, communicate value to customers and improve market access
  • Regulatory approvals: Responsible for PMRT (Product Material Review Team) and PGC (Promotional Grant Committee) process management related to projects and programs.
  • Provides directional support to market access field teams for tactical execution and drives feedback generation that can be of value to in-line products
  • Leads the relationship, vision and strategic development of health economic deliverables in order to further support value story development and market access customers, in partnership with US Medical Affairs. Develops best-in-class tools to ensure timely communication of Health Economics insights to relevant internal functions
  • Leads partnership with GPO team to identify and execute opportunities to support brand strategies
  • Leads the strategic vision of direct reports and ensures timely implementation of the following deliverables
  • Partner with Manager, Market Access Insights to design and execute research deliverables for in-line portfolio
  • Leverages understanding of the competitive landscape to anticipate and pre-empt future competitor moves by developing innovative strategies and tactics for in-line portfolio
  • Responsible for ensuring close collaboration with Brand teams and co-promote partners (if applicable) to generate success as defined by KPIs
  • Participates directly in key customer meetings, as appropriate
  • Responsible for the development of all Access Services marketing materials to communicate patient support programs.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree required
- MBA, PharmD or PhD preferred


Experience Qualifications
- 10 or More Years overall related experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry required
- 4 or More Years Pharmaceuticals experience required
- 4 or More Years Managed markets marketing experience, marketing research, required
- 1 or More Years Pricing and access experience preferred
- 1 or More Years Pharmaceutical managed care sales/account management, preferred
- 1 or More Years Pharmaceutical sales preferred
- 1 or More Years Sales training or brand marketing preferred


Travel

Ability to travel up to 30% Customer Appointments, National and Regional Meetings, Advisory Boards
