Job Summary:
 

We are currently seeking a year-round IT Global Applications Intern (June 2024-May 2025) to work in our Basking Ridge, New Jersey corporate location for a minimum of 20 hours per week.  IT Global Applications team is accountable for the execution and roll-out of a multitude of global technology platforms for Medical Affairs. In this role, the intern will be accountable for Global Medical Affairs IT demand Management and specific project coordination activities in a major Program/Project. In this role, the intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of Medical Affairs Technology platforms and will get an opportunity to work with Global teams. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Act as an IT Liaison between the Business and the technology teams to ensure the right level of service is met on IT initiatives; Oversight on IT initiatives, proactive identification and mitigation of project risks and issues
  • Accountable for capturing the IT Demands of Medical Affairs and developing the business case for all the IT demands
  • Coordinate project planning, management, and implementation of assigned technology initiatives
  • Establish and foster relationships with Business leaders and project team members
  • Draft project communication to the project governance team and extended internal stakeholders; Support Global PMs in capturing meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, etc.,
  • Manage onboarding of new project consultants

Education/Experience:

  • Education
    • Enrolled in an accredited MBA, Masters in Technology Management, or similar graduate-level management program
  • Experience
    • Project coordination experience in a professional or academic setting
    • Preparing for and facilitating project team meetings with strong post-meeting follow-through
    • Experience authoring project communications
    • Collaborating with a variety of cultures and communication styles
    • Working in a global corporate setting, preferably at a life sciences company
  • Preferred skills or traits
    • Self-motivated and confident to work independently
    • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
    • Ability to establish strong relationships and build rapport across the organization
    • Effective at influencing project team members without authority and managing upwards
    • Appropriately holding self and others accountable
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Strong Issue management and tracking to resolution
    • Understanding of Business Analysis and/or Business Process Engineering
    • Proficient in MS Office and good presentational skills

Qualified candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited MBA, Masters in Technology Management, or similar graduate-level management program. Prior experience in a corporate business environment is preferred; experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
