We are currently seeking an AI & Machine Learning Intern for Summer 2026. This full-time position works for approximately 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Project Title
Exploring and Building AI/ML Automation Pipelines to Enhance Efficiency in Statistical Programming
Scope of Work
The intern will focus on developing and testing automation pipelines in the following area:
AI-Assisted Code Review & Validation
• Develop a tool to automatically compare output datasets or TLF results across versions or programming languages (SAS vs R).
• Integrate AI/NLP methods to detect differences in titles, labels, or code structures.
• Deliverable: Automated comparison report with result consistency score.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Completed at least one semester of graduate-level coursework in Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Skills:
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R for AI/ML development.
• Familiarity with NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, spaCy, NLTK) or LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI).
• Understanding of statistical programming concepts (SAS or R).
• Knowledge of data comparison techniques (hashing, record matching, schema validation).
• Ability to design and interpret model performance metrics.
Experience:
• Prior academic or project experience in AI/ML model development, data wrangling, or text analytics.
• Exposure to software validation or data pipeline automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub) preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Interest in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research domain.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary global team.

Salary Range:
$17.23 - $58.15
