Job Summary
Director, Global Oncology Forecasting will be responsible for leading and owning demand and revenue forecasts for several oncology assets and will be reporting to the Senior Director, Global Business Strategy and Analytics. Director is a dynamic member of the Global Business Strategy and Analytics team and partners closely with Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Marketing, Medical Affairs, R&D, Finance, Regulatory, and Market Access internally across global and regional teams and externally including with Alliance Partner(s). This individual will work cross functionally to integrate insights and key assumptions into forecast models and NPV (Net Product Value) calculations which inform decision to invest into pivotal clinical trials, decisions to file, decisions to upscale or downscale long-term manufacturing planning and other strategic decision for the pipeline products. Director of forecasting serves as a strategic partner to the senior leadership by assessing and presenting financial scenarios within the Oncology business unit and helps brand teams and stakeholders make informed strategic decisions through the clear development & articulation of scenarios under consideration.
Responsibilities
Strategic Forecasting and Analysis
Own the end-to-end global forecasting process for inline brands and pipeline assets, ensuring forecasts are robust, transparent, and aligned with organizational strategy.
Lead sensitivity and variance analysis, providing comprehensive rationale and strategic implications versus prior forecasts.
Lead financial assessments beyond forecasting, by calculating P&L/NPVs for decisions to invest in a pivotal trial, decisions to file, and other strategic decisions.
Drive continuous enhancement and innovation of forecasting models, incorporating cutting-edge methodologies to meet evolving organizational needs.
Insight Leadership and Commercial Strategy
Facilitate high-level discussions with senior stakeholders to formulate and challenge key assumptions, articulating commercial risks, opportunities, and strategic insights with clarity and influence.
Integrate competitive intelligence (CI), market research, and cross-functional inputs to ensure rigor and accuracy in forecast assumptions.
Provide authoritative, data-driven perspectives on asset valuations (inline and pipeline) to support strategic decision-making at the global level.
Stakeholder Engagement and Influence
Serve as a trusted strategic partner and advisor to global and regional leadership across Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Development.
Lead alignment efforts across global and regional stakeholders on forecast assumptions, valuation methodologies, and scenario planning to ensure cohesive decision-making.
Support commercial leadership in effectively communicating forecast insights, assumptions, and scenarios to senior management and cross-functional partners, enhancing transparency and confidence.
Governance and Compliance
Maintain full accountability for the integrity, transparency, and governance of global forecasts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Lead audit readiness and respond to governance milestone reviews, providing expert insights and documentation to support financial planning cycles and decision points.
Contribute to improvement of and adhere to the Alliance governance structures and processes.
Partnership and Performance Tracking
Collaborate closely with regional commercial analytics teams to develop and maintain performance tracking dashboards and reporting tools that inform ongoing business performance and forecast accuracy.
Collaborate with Alliance/s partners aligning on forecasts and assumptions,
Champion the integration of commercial assessments for early-stage assets, providing strategic input to support portfolio prioritization and resource allocation.

Education
Bachelor's Degree, preferably Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, required
MBA or other advanced degrees, preferred
Work Experience
10 or more years of commercial experience in Pharma preferred
7 or more years in forecasting and analytics in Pharma/Biotech required
Competencies
Extensive experience working in Global Oncology or Hematology
Ability to synthesize and deliver complex information sets & successfully communicate simply to senior leaders
Experience operating successfully in a complex organizational environment
Experience interacting with senior management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/ analytical information requirements
Ability to influence stakeholders

Salary Range:
$189,520.00 - $284,280.00
