Summary

The Chief of Staff, Global Compliance & Risk Management (CRM) will support the Chief Compliance Officer/Global Head of CRM in leading global organization while supporting the transformation of Daiichi Sankyo into a global organization including a leading oncology company focused on improving the lives of patients. The Chief of Staff will play a central role in supporting the Head of Global CRM through strategy planning, department administration, communicating and coordinating key CRM programs and initiatives. The Chief of Staff will interact regularly with senior leadership and will play a key role in the globalization efforts and administration and orchestration of the CRM organization operation.

Responsibilities

- Prepare necessary and routine management reports, slide presentations and minutes including activities summaries, metrics, findings, etc. for presentation to global ethics committee and board of directors supporting of Global Head of CRM. Deliver routine, concise updates on all relevant topics and next steps to thoroughly prepare CCO/Global Head of CRM for upcoming discussions, commitments, and meetings; Represent CRM in appropriate meetings to gather information, provide input and facilitate efficient decision making, in key regions including Japan.
- Build a thorough understanding of all core business functions of the organization, as well as key stakeholders, and apply that knowledge to effectively provide project management support for strategic and tactical initiatives in line with company's and the Global CRM vision. Support the CCO/Global Head of CRM through strategic planning, programs and initiatives that will shape and drive operational strategy, excellence and delivery including implementing the globalization infrastructure plan as well as performing assessments and building new capabilities.
- Proactive identification of issues and risks that could impact the strategy and successful execution of CRM objectives and other business objectives; Facilitate discussion with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders, globally, to fully understand the issues and risk/mitigations, solutions and impact on the business. Must propose solutions and make decisions as needed. Elevate issues about which the CCO/Global Head of CRM should be aware and frame/position ideas to resolve the problem/mitigate the risks; Accountability for certain day-to-day business operations as decided by the CCO/Global Head of CRM.
- Work with the CCO/Global Head of CRM, the global CRM leadership team and regional CRM heads (in DSJ, DSI, DSE, and ASCA regions) and stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and exemplary communication and decision-making performance within the CRM organization.
- Support the CCO/Global Head of CRM in the management of budget, vendor engagement, resource management and preparation of associated tracking and reports.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications

- 10 or More Years relevant experience in project management and/or compliance or risk management required
- Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry preferred

Travel

Ability to travel up to 20%. Ability to travel to various regions and countries in order to meet with key leaders and CRM members
