Management analysts are hired to provide ways of maximizing efficiency and profits, and improving the overall day-to-day operations for a business. They work hand-in-hand with executives, employees, vendors, and clients to find areas that can be improved, and develop a strategy to refine all areas possible.

A typical day in the life of a management analyst might include:
• Organizing information gathered to better improve workplace procedures and problems
• Analyzing data, including revenue, expenditures, and employment reports
• Interviewing personnel and recording observations to find prime areas for improvement
• Creating solutions and alternate ways to reach the targeted consumer.
